KOKIROSE-abella and SUPERMAN



This image was sent to me by Joanne aka sleepyinseattle for the Tuesday Dare Challenge. We were to use this image and bling it up with some glittah.. So, littly fairybella has a dusting of dazzling diamonds just about everywhere.. but what is a fairy without her fairy dust? CUTE AS A BUG!


This is a 6x6 scrapbook page that I made for a local swap that I participate in monthly.... man, is that small! I adjusted the SBSC85 layout. Stacked bugs are where a small, wallet-sized photo would go. I really like how this turned out and love these colors together.

RAINY DAYS...



Well I have been bumming all week that I wasn't able to play along in the challenges, but I had waaaay too much work to get done... so, yesterday I sat down and wrote out all of the challenges on a sheet of paper and this card just popped right into my head! Now I don't feel like I missed out. I made this for the following challenges:

ASSATEAGUE LIGHTHOUSE...

I made this to remsemble the lighthouse at Assateague National Seashore where the Chincoteague ponies live.. We spent a week there this summer and looooved it. This is a thank you card for Carl and Barbie, who generously opened their sweet cottage to us. It is a wonderful place. Photos are at the end of a previous post HERE...

A SKETCH, A DARE, and SWEET MAGNOLIA...




I made this for today's sketch challenge as well as for the DDC. It was Julia aka Artystamper's turn to host ... she sent us these wonderful Magnolia images (which I just love)... I so wish I has one of these stamps. I think they are just adorable and couldn't decide on which one to choose, so I picked them both. Today's SC just happened to be perfect for the images. I love the simplicity of this layout.

FRIENDS ARE A GIFT...

I made this for the Inspiration Challenge for today. I recieved this wonderful image from my DSS Anna aka IndiAnnaJones on SCS. I just love this stamp and have been thinking of how to use it. I think it fits today's challenge perfectly.silver paper is some leftover Hallmark giftwrap... I embossed using my cb - altho you can see it very well caus I changed my design while making the card..Thanks to Anne H. aka Itsapassion for hosting the IC today.. fabulous choice of inspiration as usual, especially after watching the Olympic opening ceremony last night - holy cow! did you see all of the fireworks!!! amazing!...as always, thanks for taking a looksie!

OLYMPIC CHOPSTICKS AND SOME OLD LADY GOSSIP...


I made this for this week's Dare Challenge issued by Anne akak JDMommy. She wanted us to use the Olympics as an inspiration.. Boy, oh boy, was this hard. I don't have any sort of oriental type stamps with the exception of my embrace life set. So, I decided to use it along with the new in-colors to make this Oriental-themed card. I used the Japanese stab-binding technique to add the chopsticks.. I think tonight we will order some Chinese takeout and watch the opening ceremony.
