BACK TO SCHOOL... GO BEES!

Well, today was officially the first day of school. The kids were so excited to get to school, they couldn't even eat breakfast. They have been chompin' at the bit to start since meeting their teachers last week. All had an excellent 1st day! Here they are waiting for the bus.

I also wanted to share some goodies that I made for the teachers. I cased these cute take out boxes from !Beth! on SCS. I changed the stamped image. Had to use my Bee Duo by Stampendous! Our school mascot is the bee! This year I am also helping with the teacher appreciation committee. The first thing I will be making for the teachers will be this cute little beehive box that I am case-ing from Tracy Harp of Stampavie. This one is my prototype. I used my bee from Inkadinkado, and will write the teacher's name on the front of the hive. Tracy's is a lot larger, so I played around with the dimensions so that I can get two boxes from one sheet of standard cardstock. I will also use brown paper for the handle instead of ribbon to cut down on expense, since I have many to make! I will fill them with the same treats as Tracy, honey combs cereal, teddy grahams, and reese pieces.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

CHINCOTEAGUE 2010...

Hello stamping friends. We just got back from a wonderful trip to Chincoteague. This year we actually walked up to see the lighthouse and took a boat tour of the island. We were able to see the ponies up close, even though they were a little skiddish since the Pony Penning was the week prior. We also enjoyed a beach campfire hosted by the Island Refuge staff. They told us about some amazing animals that come out at night on the island.

Hopefully tomorrow, I will have a card to share with you.

BARNYARD GOSSIP w/tea of course...

This is for Mothermark's Tuesday Teapot Challenge.. You can read about it HERE. Everybody is talking down on the farm about Slow Joe and his friend Chicken. Apparently, Chicken talked Joe into skipping school and using his tution money to play games at the arcade.. That's why he never learned the auctioneer lingo.. Poor Joe, still slow...
You can see the detective's photo here
This is the photo that Detective Dolittle took of Joe and Chicken at the arcarde. Chicken talked Joe into skipping school and using his auctioneer tution to play games at the arcade.

NEIGHBORHOOD at CHRISTMAS...

Just playing around with my jumbo Neighborhood wheel.. I used various markers to color the houses and added some garland and a Christmas tree in the window of one of the houses. I cut the houses out and popped them up on Basic Black cardstock that I cut out with the top note die. The snowflakes are from the Snow Swirled set. The Cherry Cobbler mat was embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty folder.

CONSIDER YOURSELF CASED...

Recently Chat aka Nitestamper cased a card from my blog. You can see it here. I thought, 'How fun!' and commented that I would pick a card from her blog to case, returning the favor.. HERE is the card that chose. I love the Itty Bitty Punch set and the way she combined it with the Season of Friendship set. I changed the color and moved the tree over a litte to make room from my sentiment and added some HPH.
Thanks for a fun case Chat..
