BACK TO SCHOOL... GO BEES!
Well, today was officially the first day of school. The kids were so excited to get to school, they couldn't even eat breakfast. They have been chompin' at the bit to start since meeting their teachers last week. All had an excellent 1st day! Here they are waiting for the bus.
I also wanted to share some goodies that I made for the teachers. I cased these cute take out boxes from !Beth! on SCS. I changed the stamped image. Had to use my Bee Duo by Stampendous! Our school mascot is the bee! This year I am also helping with the teacher appreciation committee. The first thing I will be making for the teachers will be this cute little beehive box that I am case-ing from Tracy Harp of Stampavie. This one is my prototype. I used my bee from Inkadinkado, and will write the teacher's name on the front of the hive. Tracy's is a lot larger, so I played around with the dimensions so that I can get two boxes from one sheet of standard cardstock. I will also use brown paper for the handle instead of ribbon to cut down on expense, since I have many to make! I will fill them with the same treats as Tracy, honey combs cereal, teddy grahams, and reese pieces.

CHINCOTEAGUE 2010...
Hello stamping friends. We just got back from a wonderful trip to Chincoteague. This year we actually walked up to see the lighthouse and took a boat tour of the island. We were able to see the ponies up close, even though they were a little skiddish since the Pony Penning was the week prior. We also enjoyed a beach campfire hosted by the Island Refuge staff. They told us about some amazing animals that come out at night on the island.
