HIS HOLY NAME 2009

For some time now, I have been following along with Patter's 2009 His Holy Name Challenge. Today I decided that I need to jump in with both feet. I love reading the pages that the other stampers have made for this challenge.. and I have read through a couple of the devotionals. If you are intrigued and want to know more about this challenge, then click HERE...

I'll post my first page after I re-read the first challenge and have a chance to make my page.

ART SHOW...

Two mornings a week I teach a class of wonderful two year olds. My son also attends and is in the three year old class. Tonight we had our Annual Art Show. I have to say that I am constantly amazed at the creativity of the staff and the artistic eye and style of the children. If you have been wondering what I have been up to lately, this is it - getting ready for the show. While I can't show you pictures of my sweet students, I can show you their fabulous artwork.
First, are several creations by my son. I just love all of them.

Check out the 3-D clay art by Mrs. Buckley.... This just cracks me up!

And last but not least... some of the projects my little class has made this year. Aren't they terrific!!! I am such a proud teacher.

Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoyed the 'show.'

DOUBLEDOG SEEDS

I made this for the Doubledog Dare issued by Joanne aka SleepyinSeattle. She challenged us to make a Springtime card with seeds - YIKES! I had to go out and buy some seeds (Gypsophilia to be exact). So I stamped out my flower in craft white, then embosses with clear ep. I painted it with my aquapainter using tangerine tango, riding hood red, kiwi kiss, and baja breeze. I added the seed to the center of the flower with some glue. Thanks for a fun challenge Joanne..

SPRINGTIME GEISHAS...

WOW! What a difference a week makes here in VA. This past weekend was sunny and 70, less than a week ago we had 10 inches of snow on the ground. The warmer days has brought out my pastel side.... a rare occasion to say the least. So.. here are my Geishas in their purple and green Springtime attire. I just can't get enough of the Geishas... I love how versatile they are. They come 2 in a set, so you can use them separately, together, or even just a portion of the image. I have to admit that I prefer them embossed. The black is so shiny and they are so fun to color.
Head on over to the store and pick up your Geishas now. There are three different sets to choose from. I hope you have a nice day my friends...
