Happy New Year everyone.  This image cracks me up everytime I see it.  The look on her face is perfect considering she is holding a plunger.  So, out with the old and in with the new.  Here is hoping you have a blessed New Year that doesn't require much use of a plunger.  Cheers!

Using Up Scraps...

I made this card for the CardMaker Challenge Corner.

I have a HUGE pile of scraps because I refuse to throw paper away. OK, I also have kids who love to stamp and play with paper and they are only allowed to use the scraps. I took a picture of my scrap pile (**embarassed**). The entire card is made from scraps except for the base. I cut the trees from a designer paper scrap that I had. I did add some ribbon and liquid pearls (my new favorite embellishment).

Thanks for looking...

Here is my pile of scraps...

And here is the card I made with some of them.

I combined a couple of challenges from this week. I adapted the color challenge, using colors that I have in my stash and today's Ways to Use It. Loved using those beads that I never know what to do with. I also used this week's Mojo sketch.
This is also for the Fan Club theme: All I want for Christmas. ..... is SNOW!! We have had one of the mildest Decembers on record. Hoping for snow in January.

My Happy Place...

All month long, I have been participating in a card drive called Hope You Can Cling To, hosted by SplitcoastStampers.  These cards made are mailed to the Anderson Medial Center at the University of Texas.  New challenges are posted daily over at SCS.  This past week has been very busy for me and I wasn't able to stamp, so I spent last night playing catch-up.  Over the next week or so, I will be sharing the cards I made.

This card is for the Happy Place challenge.  The challenge was to create a card that is inspired by your happy place.  If you know me, then you know my happy place is by the ocean.  This is one of my favorite stamps given to me by my friend, Linda.  I used my aquapainter to color the image which was stamped in craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I painted the image then cut it out and matted it on crumb cake and cherry cobbler cardstock.

Additional Info
Stamps: Lighthouse Beacon
Paper: white, cherry cobbler, crumb cake
Ink: craft black, various SU!
Accessories: aquapainter, charm, muddpuddles sand, silver twine, clear embossing powder, punch
