BRING ON THE SUN...

It has been SO rainy here... I know we need it, last year we suffered through a drought. And, my plants are loving it... but, I miss the warm sunshine. This bright and cheery paper by K&Company reminds me of hot, summer days. I made this card for the Friday Limited Supply Challenge on SCS. We were challenged to only used dsp and one stamp, and very little embellishments. So, I didn't even use any stamps.. just paper and a couple of dew drops.

Thanks for looking!

TALK IS CHEEP, CHEEP!

I went to a fellow demo's house the other night to make some cute card purses with matching card sets. We used the Cheep Talk set to make our projects. I don't have this set, but really loved using it. As usual, I talked more and faster that I stamped and didn't get all of the projects done. Well, Lori graciously let me bring the set home to complete my cards. In return, I made this card for her.

What a fun set.. I think this will definitely be on my next order! Thanks Lori!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEBBIE!!

I made this card for my friend and upline, Debbie N. Her birthday is tomorrow. I am so glad she and I are friends! She was my first SU! contact that I made when we moved back to Lynchburg. I needed some paper, our kids attend the same school, the rest is history.... I ended up signing up as a demo after she 'twisted my arm' ;) ... She is one of the most driven and successful demonstrators I know.

So, here's wishing Debbie a fabulous birthday. She recently started a blog called Unfrogettable Stamping.. so, if you'd like, head on over to there and leave her some love...

Have a great weekend!

I decided to share this card that I made with the Geisha Girls #2. This set is 40% off!!! and is perfect for making Get Well or Any Occasion cards. I used my mat pack to pierce my card across the bottom, then used my elegant eggplant marker to add the faux stitching. I love the way this looks. So, if you aren't to skilled with your sewing machine or don't have one, pull out your piercer and go faux!!

BUSY BEE..

Happy Mother's Day weekend all!! I am so glad the weekend is here.

This past week was packed with various school functions, 2 field trips, a Mother's Day tea, cheernastics, cancelled softball games, rain, rain, and more rain, trip to the doctor for Andrew's swollen, itchy eye - yup, pink eye!...uugh.. I didn't get much stamping done, but I did start and finish a really good book while waiting here and waiting there..

I hope to get to spend time making a few things today. I really love the Shaving Cream technique video over at StampTV that uses shaving cream and re-inkers to make a marbled bg.. waaay cool. I have read about this technique, but I am such a visual person, I love being able to watch Gina show us how easy it is. In the meantime, I thought I would share some of the cards I had made for the release party. They are in various galleries, but I had not posted them to my blog.

Enjoy, and Happy Mother's Day to all!!

CAMPING...

There is nothing I enjoy more, this time of year, than spending time with family and friends at the campground. We love to sit around the campfire, ride bikes, walk the creek and trails. Even better that we don't have our tv's, computers, and we are out of cell phone range. Back to the basics.
This stamp set is a reminder of these times, and I have enjoyed making these cards to send to my family and friends who love to camp. They are also great for use in scrapbooking, and make great accents to any camping/outdoor page (especially if you have a boy/girlscout. You don't want to miss this set... for sale now at Queen Kat Designs...
Thanks for looking and have a great Monday!
