As it turns out, I did have a fluffy little kitty in my stash. This image was sent to me a couple of years ago from a friend who loves kitty cats and bunnies.

I combined the Teapot Challenge with the Color Challenge. I must admit that I won't miss any of these colors, but if I had to chose one, it would be Poppy Parade.

COUNTING PIGS...

I LOVE this pig image! It is so cute - SQUEAL!!

This image pretty much sums up how fast I am at mailing out the tickle-a-teapotter cards! I have my postage stamps ready this time, so I plan to do better. Getting a lesson in counting should also help.
Hope pig makes it to school in time for the lesson. She just had her hooves polished with a nice shiny black and didn't want to mess them up in Mutnik's cowpies.. eewwww!!!! So, being the ingenious pig that she is, she decided to fly.

I used today's color challenge (just twisted it a bit) and the VLV Week 4 Sketch.

Flying Pig is a digi image from HAMBO Stamps. I typed the sentiment on my computer.

Thanks for looking!

Additional Info

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CRABS!

So, after a long and wonderful holiday weekend, I wanted to stamp for fun! I looked at the challenges for the week, and not to be one who wants to miss ANY! I decided to combine a few.
Well, with all of the synchronized swimming at the tea party, I wanted to make a crab card. Let's face it, summer is here, I want to go to the beach, and I want to eat crabs.. and since I'm not at the beach - YET! I figured I could do the next best thing and bring some crabs to the tea party. The crabs could also serve double duty by encouraging Syd and her students to keep their bodies at the top of the water... so that card may yet be created, stay tuned.  If you have NO idea what I am talking about, see Cindy's post for this week's Teapot Tuesday here.  I'll bet you have never seen quite a teapot like the one she is sharing this week!
Since I combined the tea party with the color challenge, I couldn't figure out how to make red crabs work, so instead I used some of my newly purchased primas - thank you to my parents and students for the wonderful gift card to ACMoore - you know what I LOVE!
I also made this for the CAS challenge to scrunch and fold my ribbon and used this weeks MOJO sketch!
Thanks for looking... and keep a look out for the crabs - they may be arriving soon!

Paper: basic black, whisper white

JUST BECAUSE..

I'm heading in the back door of the tea party and with the frustration of trying to load this card setting in, I would like to have some 'strong' tea! Not to mention some cookies and blueberry tarts!  After three attempts and some nasty 'can't read your file' messages, it's done, it's loaded.. whew!
This is for several challenges, as you can see listed in the keywords. I won't bore you with the details of each, suffice it to say I did bend quite a few color and technique lover rules. But, for the Mothermark I do have a hummingbird on my card..
Thanks for a fun challenge Cindy.. and I would love to participate in the destination station. Wonder who will load to the teapot gallery after me?? And who will be ahead of me!! Can't wait, I'm already stalking my mailman...
woot!

IT'S A TWO-FER..

I have two cards to share with you today.
First up ~ Mr. Do-Bee...

I made this card for the Featured Stamper Challenge. Congrats to Teresa Kline aka vasunshine!! I just love her gallery! I chose to case THIS card. I looked through her entire gallery, and it was such a hard choice with all of the amazing cards. I decided I really liked the 'look' of this one.
I combined this with a previous Doubledog Dare challenge given by Charlene to make a "Do-Bee" card. I used one of my embossing folders for all of the things Mr. Do-Bee would want you to be. It also had to have a bee on it. This cute little stamp was given to me by my dear friend Linda. I'm not sure who makes it.

Additional Info
Stamps: bee stamp of unknown origins
Paper: ginak white, all others non-su
Ink: stazon
Accessories: SU! markers, circle die-cut, brads, ribbon, embossing folder. stickles
Second up ~ Birthday Cake...

DOUBLEDOG DARE CHALLENGE - Is it Edible?

This week's challenge is from Anne Harada aka Itsapassion on SCS (you can see the entire challenge thread on SCS HERE)...

The DDC challenge this week is to create a card...
1.) The main image should include something edible.AND,
2.) The inks and solid colored CS (not DP) colors MUST ALL be named after edible items!!!
So, for example, you can use Elegant Eggplant for purple, but you can't use Orchid Opulance. OR you can use Berry Sorbet (PTI) but you can't use Pixie Pink. This may be harder if you use Copics! (They tend to be more botanical/nature inspired!)
The exceptions:Black and White inks and CS are OK but all the other colors need to be edible.Embellishments of any colors are ok unless you make them out of CS (i.e., punches); then you have to go by the "edible" requirement.
Of course this is totally on the honor system as we can't really tell if you used Basic Brown instead of Chocolate Chip LOL!!!
Please join in and use DDC in your keyword when you upload!! We'd love to have you play along!!

I made this card for several challenges... today's color challenge: to use pixie pink, certainly celery, and appricot appeal.for the Doubledog Dare Challenge: to make a card with the main image being something edible and the colors with edible names.. so fun!and I used the Mojo97 sketch for the layout.
Thanks for looking. Have a yummy day!

HORTON HEARS A WHO...

I just love Dr. Seuss, and made this card for today's Color Challenge (pink passion, kiwi kiss, chocolate chip) in honor and memory of his wonderful work.I got this idea when I was searching for coloring pages for my kids... I found this one of Horton carrying the flower that holds the Whos, and it was the perfect size for a card. I printed it out, then went over it with a permanent marker, followed by heat setting it with my heat gun.I colored the trees and bushes with kiwi kiss ink usiing my aqua painter. I color Horton, the trees and the sky with pencils and blended with goo gone. And even though you can't see it in the photo, the tiny flower is colored with my pink passion marker. I tried layering with choc chip cardstock, but it just didn't pop like I wanted it to, so I used black and white as my neutrals. Thanks for looking and remember... "A person's a person, no matter how small..."

Additional Info
Stamps: none - image printed online coloring pages
Paper: basic black, whisper white, hawaiian papaya dsp
Ink: kiwi kiss
Accessories: aqua painter, SU! colored pencils, goo gone, SU! markers, brads, ticket corner punch, scallop punch, ribbon
