Get your sketch on, Monster!

It's Wednesday and that means Hoedown time!   I hope your week is going well.  I have noticed that the days are getting slightly longer and the air is a bit warmer.  It won't be too long until the trees bud out and the first flowers of Spring begin to bloom.

Today at the Hambo Hoedown blog we are excited to bring you a new digital image:  Monster Weights.  Isn't this little monster just adorable.  He comes with several cute sentiments that can be used for various occasions.  The challenge this week is a sketch challenge by Carolina.  I don't know about you, but I LOVE sketches.  This is a fun sketch that can be used with many different Hambo images.

For my card, I decided to pull out my PrismaColor pencils and Goo Gone to color my monster.  I was inspired by these scraps that I had in my paper pile.  I seem to be on an orange and turquoise kick lately.  I decided to off-set the bright colors with some white space.  Monster Weights is raised with pop-dots.

Now it's your turn.  Grab your favorite Hambo stamp, use Carolina's super-cool sketch and post a link of your project to the Hoedown blog.

Card Details...

No matter the weather...

I made this for today's Featured Stamper Challenge over on SCS.  I enjoyed looking through Janice's gallery today. I've noticed her cards here and there whenever we would participate in the same challenge and I was glad for the opportunity to look through all of the pages of her gallery today. It was hard to decide which card to chose to case, but I ultimately decided on this one: Acorns & Oak Leaves. I love the design of it and turned it on it's side, used a different stamp set and colors.

Inside reads: "I'm glad we're together"

This is also for the Catered Crop Quick Fire Challenge to use red somewhere on the card. Lately, I just love red combined with aquamarine and I was drawn to this paper stack by my My Mind's Eye. Such fun colors and designs.

COFFEE & SNOW...

We are having our first real snow of the season and so I had a wonderful time making a card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge over on SplitCoast Stampers.  Once the featured stamper has been revealed, the challenge it to CASE a card from her gallery.  Today's FS is beccabatgirl aka Becky Carafa.  You can see her gallery HERE.  I chose to case THIS card.  I changed many of the elements, but kept the same general layout. I used my Coffee Girl digital stamp by Hambo. The thing I love the most is that I can size her to fit the layout.
Check back this Wednesday for this week's Hoedown.  You won't want to miss it.
Thanks for looking.
