I made this for today's Inspiration Challenge. This card was inspired by the colors in THESE  gorgeous pillows.

For the image I used Spring Bunnies by Hambo. I popped the two in the front up with pop dots and added some cotton from some q-tips to their tummies.

This is also for the Catered Crop Recipe Swap - In Stitches.  I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched around all of my mats with white thread.

INSPIRATION ANYONE?

Lately, I haven't had any desire to stamp or create or clean or well, just about anything.  This is pretty indicative of this time of year.  The end of summer always makes me want to drag my feet, cross my arms and pout.  I don't want it to be over.  I love being home everyday with my kids.  I love corn on the cob.  I love stamping the day away.  I love swimming... you catch my drift.  So, when my sweet and super-talented friend Anne asked me to join her in making sample for today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers, I was ecstatic.  I took one look at the Patina website and loved it.  I had a hard time picking just one piece - so I made two!
The first thing I made was this card.  I was inspired by this Teal Botanical Pillow.

Next, I made a mixed media frame.I was inspired by this Green Tube Vase. Everytime I saw it I thought of some crayon art that I saw on Pinterest. I decided to combine the  two to create this mixed media frame.
I melted the crayons with an embossing gun, added some orange, silk poppies, bling and stamped that cute little bee.

Thanks for looking. I hope you can join us today with this challenge!!

ARTISTIC ETCHINGS...

We made it back from a fabulous week with my parents! What a great time we had. As promised, I have some new goodies to share with you. While away, part of my SU! pre-order arrived and I have enjoyed looking through the new catalog. I must admit, the upcoming catalog is FABULOUS! Much better than last year's (I'll be happy to keep this one for an entire year!). I loved the new color renovation, excellent move bringing back some of my favorite old colors-thank for listening Shelli ;), I love many of the new dsp's, finally more ribbon choices (almost as in days of old), many of my old favorite stamps made it into the new catty along with some great new sets! Here is one of them. This is part of a new set called Artistic Etchings. I made this for a couple of this past week's challenges.
Inspiration Challenge 237, Sketch Challenge 285, and Ways to Use It 275: Ribbon. I LOVE ribbon. Black and white gingham is my favorite and usually on every card I make, but today I stepped out of my box and used polka dots...
Thanks for looking!

This is also the first challenge word for Patter Cross' 2010 Scripture Challenge II. A challenge word is issued every other Sunday, so that at the end of the year, I will have a 6x6 scrapbook full of scripture to treasure and share with my family.

LANG INSPIRED CATTY CASE

I made this for a couple of challenges (lately, it seems the only way I can keep up *rolling eyes*).. Anyway, I just LOVE Lang Calendars and have the Coffee calendar by Dan Di Paolo hanging in my kitchen. I used the colors to inspire me for the Doubledog Dare Challenge given by Michelle (sf9erfan) to case a card from the catty. I couldn't find my old catty, so I chose to case a card found on pg 111 of the new catty (I've had my nose buried in it since it came in the mail last week.) This is also for Friday's LSC given by Dawn, to use a black base. I love using black on cards, so I just couldn't pass it up! Thanks for looking!
