HOP ART HOEDOWN...
This week for the Hambo Hoedown, we are excited to welcome Asela's "Hop Art Designs", available from the Hambo Digital Store. This adorable image is called "Celeste Fairy" and is a fun image to color. I used my prisma color pencils and blended them using Goo Gone. I really wanted to add some sparkle to the wings, but didn't to comform the the OWH Guidelines. Instead, I used my white opaque pen to make some dots along the image where I thought some sparkle should be. I hope you'll take the time to join the Hoedown this week and check out Asela's adorable designs. The sales from these images will benefit Operation Write Home.
Thanks for stopping by...

For the image I used Spring Bunnies by Hambo. I popped the two in the front up with pop dots and added some cotton from some q-tips to their tummies.
This is also for the Catered Crop Recipe Swap - In Stitches. I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched around all of my mats with white thread.
Thanks for looking!!

FANTASTIC!
I know I always joke that my Mom is the only visitor I have.... and well, in the beginning, that was true. She is actually the reason that I started this little blog of mine. See, she lives a couple of hours away and she and I were trying to figure out a way for her to see some of the things I had been stamping. After all, it is partially her fault that I love stamping so much. She gave me my first SU! stamp, and paper, and marker, as well as my love for all things crafty. So, I decided to start a blog. I am always amazed when others stop by to 'visit' and especially blessed when they have time to leave a kind word. Along this journey, I have had the pleasure of making some wonderful friends through the internet and at various sites such as Splitcoaststampers, Facebook, etc. I've also had and continue to have the joy and priviledge of working for some amazing stamp companies. God has turned this little of hobby of mine into a wonderful blessing.
Recently, I was blessed to have two of my friends (one that I recently became acquainted with since we are both on the Hambo design team and one I've know a while and stalked forever) leave me a comment stating that they had given me and, more specifically, my blog an award. Both Charlene Merrick and Deborah Anton are incredibly skilled and talented when it comes to paper and ink. I am inspired by both of them, which makes this award even more meaningful to me.

Now I have a few things to do...
- Pass on the award to five other people, who's blogs have inspired me. It also needs to be someone who has less than 200 followers.
- Put a comment on their blog, so that they know about it.
- Link back to the person who gave me the award and thank them.
- Post the award on my blog.

BUNNY PARADE...
How adorable are these images! Bunny Parade is bought to you by Hambo stamps. This adorable, digital image is now available and just in time for Easter. This week the challenge is to create an EASEL CARD using the spring colors of lavender, yellow, pink, green and blue! Choose at least THREE of those colors for your card. Bonus oinks to those that use all five colors! Don't forget to use a Hambo stamp.
I must admit that I've never attempted an easel card because I thought they were just too complicated. As it turns out, it is super easy to make. I just followed the tutorial on SCS. For this card I used a simple white base. All papers are from My Mind's Eye Jack & Jill paper pack. I just LOVE the colors and designs in this pack. I colored my images with PrismaColor pencils and blended them with GooGone using blending stumps. I also pulled out my sewing machine and stiched around the edges.
Inside View with Sentiment |
Now head on over to the Hoedown Blog to see the rest of the parade.

So Glad We're Friends..
So, in light of the warmer days, I thought I would share this card that I made using my cute little bee stamp by Stampendous. It is great for clean and simple cards. I used a corner rounder only on the top corners and a simple strip of fringed designer paper across the bottom. To finish it off, I added a polka dot trail behind each bee with a black pen.
I guess I need to get outside and clean the flower bed, but secretly, I'm still praying for one more snow...

TIME TO BLOOM
I made this card for one of the VSN Challenges: Rolled Flowers. I thought they were reallh hard to make. I stamped the stem shilouettes in black, then used some new dp that I bought for the flowers. I added bling to the centers and ribbon across the bottom. Last, I stamped the sentiment.
You can find the tutorial for Rolled Flowers HERE.

HAMBO HUGS...
I just adore the Bailey line. I used PrismaColor pencils for the image. I blended the pencils with some handy, dandy Goo Gone.
Grab your favorite Hambo stamp and get stampy, then post your project to Mr. Linky on the Hoedown Blog. We'd love to see what you create.

BECAUSE I CARE..
This past weekend, Splitcoast Stampers hosted the Spring Virtual Stamp Night (VSN). There were challenges posted hourly during the hours of play and you only get 45 minutes to complete your card. That is why many of my cards are of the clean and simple variety. Not to mention is pushes me to do something different.
This card is for a challenge to make a Sympathy card, and it features one of my favorite SU! sets. I use a technique I call shadow stamping. Not sure if that is the correct term. Basically you ink up your image, stamp it, lift one side slightly while one part of the image remains in contact with the paper, move the stamp slightly to the left or right, then repeat. Each time the image is slightly lighter and all of the stems connect at the bottom. I added some bling to the center of the darkest flowers and used my nestabilities. Then added a heart charm with some silver twine.

VSN: I still {heart} you!
I made this card for one of the VSN Challenges: to use a heart or the word love on your card. This stamp is from an SU! stamp set that I bought and never really inked up. The paper is DCWV.
Thanks for looking.

SOLEMATES...
When I saw this new Hambo image, I immediately thought of my Mother. She loves flounder. Head on over to the Hoedown Blog for more inspiration and a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. The three in a row that I played were: striped, embossing, and buttons. That indeed is a button on the bow of the ribbon with some bling attached. We'd love for you to join us. You can find this image along with other fun digital images by Hambo HERE.
