PINK CRITTERS, BLING & A CIRCLE OF HOPE...

Day 1 of the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges is off to a great start.  The main goal of this challenge is to make cards to be sent to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.
The first challenge was to make a card with pink critters.  Here is what I came up with.  I got this Love Bug set a long time ago and never inked it up.  When I was cleaning up my stamp table, I came across it and decided to use it.  I went with some pink buttons for the caterpillar's body.

The second challenge was to use bling... easy peasy.. I LOVE bling.  Using the bee image from the Love Bug set, I use bling to show movement of my bees across the paper.. Still lacking a little something, I added some bright, pink primas.

The third challenge of Day 1 was to make a circle card.  Uuuggh!  I almost gave up there.  I don't enjoy making circle cards.  However, I remembered that I had bought some pre-cut circle cards and envelopes... Hooray!  I also decided to use my butterfly embosslit.  I've had this for a long time and never tried it.  Love these little butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by... I hope you'll join the challenge, make some cards, and help make a difference!!  If your interested in learning more, CLICK HERE.

SHEEP HAPPENS!

I made this card for today's HAMBO Hoedown challenge 35 ~ to CASE a card from one of the Hambo galleries.  I spent a lot of time looking through the Hambo gallery at SplitcoastStampers.  There are so many fabulous cards, I had a hard time picking one.  I decided upon Beate's 'Birthdays Happen.' card.  You can see it HERE.  I kept the layout the same and used some bright striped dp just as she did.  I changed the image from the Silly Birds digital image to the Party Sheep rubber stamp.  I typed out my sentiment and kept it very similar to her's.

This is my last post as a Bacon Bit with Hambo stamps.  It has been a wonderful experience.  Monica and the rest of the team have been so nice to work with.  The 4 month term just flew by.  Be sure to check out the new Bacon Bits, they are super excited to join the design team and I am certain you will be inspired by their creativity.

Sing Your Art Out!

Welcome to "Sing Your Art Out" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends, customers, and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict song titles! It might be our favorite song, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from {Pat's Blog} you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose song-themed creation  tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a singin' wingin' way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the hop. The winners will  be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on  Wednesday, September 21.

My creation features Pig Scarecrow for the image and the Aw Shucks sentiment. Isn't my pig adorable.  I chose this stamp because it reminds me of the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz.  I just had to change the lyrics to fit today's hop.

Sing it with me...
I could wile away the hours
with paper, ink and flowers
and don't forget the bling
With my Hambo image stampin'
Just-a snortin', gigglin',  laughin'
Come and join us while we sing!!

Warm up those vocal chords and be prepared to sing! Now hop on over to {Yolanda's Blog} for another great sing-along song!

Here is the entire Blog Roll, in case your get lost along the way:
