CITY OF DAVID

This is for today's CC. I just LOVE these colors together! Thanks Em!I used an image from the City of David set from my friend Lauren. I colored the structures with Sahara Sand, then used a gold metallic CM pen for the roof tops to give them some shine, I then went over them with a Sakura sparkle pen. The sand - yep, real sand, was given to me by one of my best buds, Cindy. It is called Malibu Beach is you can find it online here. It is super cool stuff and dries quickly (which is good for messy Marvin's like myself). Thanks for looking!

Additional Info
Stamps: City of David
Paper: basic black, sahara sand, very vanilla, GPwhite
Ink: stazon
Accessories: Muddpuddles Malibu Beach sand, ribbon, gemstone brad, sakura gel pen, gold CM metallic pen, swiss dots CB folder

TWO AWARDS!!

I have two awards to share with you. I am going to combine them, and give them to some fellow bloggers...

The first award is a Kreative Blogger award that I recieved from two fellow bloggers: SarahK at Encouraging Impressions, and my good bud Joan Ervin at Stamping with a Passion. They both gave me this award within a couple of days of each other. Thank you Sarah, for your kind comments and for selecting me to recieve this award. Thank you Joan for sharing your awesome talent and participating in the Double Dare Challenges.

The second award was recieved from my friend Tammi at tjsmemories. Tammi passed along the "Your Blog Rocks & Your the Best Blogging Buddy" award. Thank you Tammi. If you haven't visited Tammi's blog, you should. She is a SUPER-FANTASTIC scrapbooker. I just love looking at her pages.

Now to pass these fabulous awards on to some fellow bloggers... I decided to pass it along to all who read this.. I see that these have been around the blog-o-sphere a couple of times in my search to nominate folks who haven't gotten it.. So, thanks for the awards, and if you are reading this, consider yourself nominated..(that includes you Mom.. even though you don't have a blog - my passion for crafting is ALL your fault!)..

3 FRENCH HENS

I made this for the Featured Stamper today.. Flowergal36 has a super gallery is always to leave kind comments. I cased her card called Pumkin Spice Coffee. I changed the stamps and colors, but kept the cool layout. Silly Duck bought these French Hens hoping to make some money from their fancy feathers. Only one problem... Duck doesn't speak French... so he is giving these fabulous chicks away for free! Poor Duck!

TWO TURTLES, TWO DOVES..

THE TWELVE DAYS OF FUNKY CHRISTMAS - DAY 6

These are for the Twelve Days of Christmas Challenge over on Paper Craft Planet. The Challenge for today was to create a card with either two doves or two turtles... so, naturally I did both. Thanks for looking!

Have you heard? Santa had to lay the reindeer off. What with the price of grain and molasses, the turtles were MUCH cheaper... but somehow, I don't think this is gonna fly this year. They are currently doing some test flights around the north pole, but the poor little turtle's shells are sooo heavy, and their legs soooo short. Where, oh where is Rudolph.. oh that's right.. busy playing Reindeer Games with the Elves.

REINDEER GAMES

THE TWELVE DAYS OF FUNKY CHRISTMAS - DAY 4
I made this for Friday's Limited Supply Challenge. We were to use 'chocolate' in some sort of way, either paper, images, etc... I have chocolate chip cardstock on this and Rudolph is colored with chocolate chip as well.
And if you really want to know... it is those crazy elves who are always causing trouble at the reindeer games and getting those silly deer in trouble. Just take a look and you'll see what I mean. It's all fun and games until somebody gets stuck in the chimney!
Thanks for looking.

JOYFUL SINGING

The Twelve Days/Posts of Funky Christmas - Day/Post 2
Yes.. it's true.. I love the Funky Christmas stamp set I won from GinaK. What is not to love. Check out these fabulous carolers. Aren't they just the grooviest! I used Wednesday's Sketch Challenge from SCS. I stamped the image in stazon onto glossy cs, stamped snowflakes in white craft, then embossed with clear ep, sponged the bg. I used a permanet pen to draw the line for the ground.
Check back tomorrow for a card created using another cool stamp from this set.
Thanks for looking!

NOT MY FAVORITE, BUT...

It really is a cool technique, and a great way to show off your Designer paper.

FABULOUS TIME HAD BY ALL...

We spent this past weekend with family in Chatham, NJ. We had a wonderful visit with my SIL Karen and her dh, Bryant. We took a train into the city on Saturday to see Cirque du Soleil's Wintuk show at the Wamu Theatre at Madison Square Garden. The show was terrific!! The kids were mesmerized by the entire production which ended with show falling from the ceiling over the entire audience! WOW! We are pumped and ready for the holidays. We stopped at the Crayola Factory on the way up and Cabellas on the return trip home. It was a nice way to break up the drive. In the city, we walked to the American Girl Store, bought the the pets that went with each of the girl's dolls. The sun came out as we arrived and I was able to take a snapshot of the Empire State Bldg. We also saw the tree in Rockafeller Center (in the process of being decorated). Several stores had already begun to decorate their windows for Christmas and we had fun looking at the fabulous decorations and colors that were simply amazing! It was so neat to see so many of the SU! in-colors on display *snort*! We also saw St. Patrick's Cathedral, took a cab ride that nearly gave me a heart attack and went to the Short Hills Mall back in NJ. Santa was there, so naturally (my kids who have no fear) and went right up to him and started rattling off the desires of their heart. Now that mall was perhaps the best mall I've ever been in. David and I were able to wander around in Williams-Sonoma without the kids. I would love to go back just to spend a day at that mall.
We shared some memories that we will not soon forget!
