STARRY, STARRY LIGHTHOUSE...
I was intrigued by yesterday's Technique Lover's Challenge and decided after I saw Cindy's TPT lighthouse image that I would combine the two and try case Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. I love that painting. It is my favorite.
I used the technique to create the scene on my card. First I stamped the lighthouse from the Guiding Light set by GKD and embossed, then I used my gold and silver leafing pens to create the stars and swirly background. Next, I used my aquapainter and painted the backgroud with crushed curry, bermuda bay and not quite navy. I used SU! markers to paint the lighthouse and added some tiny silver bling to the star centers, as well as some stickles for shine. It was hard to catch the glimmer of the stickles in the photo, but I hope you can see it.
Thanks for looking!
