SIZZLIN' SUMMER...

I made this card for today's Hoedown Challenge.  Ahhhhh, can't you just feel the breeze!  This week is a sketch challenge with a twist.. The twist - the card must be masculine.  I used Hammock Pig with the sizzlin' summer sentiment, colored with my aqua painter and inks.  The hammock was paper pieced and the palm tree fronds were stamped twice and popped up on dimensionals.  This card is perfect on a hot day like today.  It is going to be 94 this afternoon with high humidiity - uuugh!  Makes me sizzle just thinking about it.

Head on over to the Hoedown blog to see what the rest of the bacon bits came up with for this challenge, including a new digi just perfect for Father's Day.  We sure would love for you to join us!

Thanks for looking and have a 'sizzlin' day!

OK. I have to know what the fiber you used behind the front piece? Love it. The card is fab.

I love everything about this, but especially those popped-up palm fronds! I wouldn't mind spending a day like the pig's. Great job!
